ProForm is a company that produces a variety of exercise equipment including hybrid trainers, exercise bikes and treadmills. Among their Pro treadmills lineup, The ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill is the cheapest with the others costing over $1500, however you would not know it from all the features packed into the treadmill. You can run uphill or downhill, listen to music and even enjoy scenic routes while running. The Pro 2000 is an all-in-one workout beast.

Great Features at a Fair Price

The ProForm Pro 2000 is not exactly cheap. The official website lists it for $1,299 while Amazon is currently selling it at $1,499. There are plenty of treadmills that cost less than this, some as low as $300. But when you look at the features, you realize the price is more than worth it.

Best Features of the ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill

  1. Uphill and downhill settings
If you want to burn more calories, the ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill has just the perfect trick up its sleeve. You can crank up the incline to 15 percent and experience an uphill run or walk. Just like going up an actual hill, you will use more energy and burn more calories.Running downhill also requires training. You need precision and balance to control momentum and improve muscle resistance. The Pro 2000 helps you train for it by including a -3 percent incline. You get to learn how to maintain a steady pace and balance while your body leans forward.
  2. 12 mph speed range
A good treadmill should cater to every kind of user from the walker to the jogger to the fast runner. The Pro 2000, with its 0 to 12 mph speed range, ensures that everyone is served well. You can start out with a slow warm-up walk, raise the pace to a casual jog and burn your calories with a full 12 mph run.
  3.  iFit compatibility
Perhaps one of the best and most useful features of the Pro 2000 is compatibility with iFit, one of the most popular fitness technology platforms. By connecting with iFit, you get a full range of extra functionality. You access a wide workout library, with exercise videos and guides to help you get fit. You can track your workouts and create a personalized workout plan. One of the best features is the ability to use Google maps to simulate an outdoor run. You can track your own route or use available preset routes. Not only will you enjoy a scenic view of your route as you run, the running deck adjusts to mimic the terrain you are running on.Using iFit requires a wireless module, which is sold separately and comes with a one-year iFit subscription.
  4. Quiet operation
You do not have to worry about causing a ruckus when the treadmill is running. The motor and the running deck have been designed to operate smoothly and silently throughout. One advantage of this is that you do not have to set up the treadmill in the basement or garage because of the noise. You can put it up just about anywhere in the house and it will not cause any disruptions.
  5. Space-saving storage
The ProForm Pro 2000 Treadmill comes with a convenient space-saving storage mechanism. To put the treadmill away, just lift the running deck upwards. It will automatically fold into place. The treadmill contains hydraulic springs to assist with lifting the heavy deck and lowering it back down. Many users recommend that you first check that the incline is completely flat to avoid damaging the deck when folding.
  6. iPad/iPod/Smartphone compatible
You do not have to wear cumbersome headphones on the treadmill. The treadmill has a dock where you can place your iPod, tablet or smartphone and enjoy music through the built-in speakers.

Are There Any Concerns?

The issue that most users point out is the weight. The machine weighs over 200 pounds so you can forget about setting it up on your own. It will require at least three people to lift the main unit into the house. But once you set it up, everything else is a smooth going.
